I find it pure joy when people identify me outside of work and because my name is a tad different from what people are used to, they choose the easy route and call out Evergreen.

Well, I was named Heather by my grandma who lived in the UK. But growing up I heard my parents call out Helther so I wrote the name how I heard them call it and it had been my unique identity ever since. After having to explain my name a number of times, I googled it one day and found out Heather means a small, Evergreen plant with tiny flowers which symbolizes good luck, protection, admiration, grace and beauty. The evergreen most definitely stood out to me so when anyone asked what Helther meant, I stated Evergreen.

I have always loved the art of making beaded jewelry. And what intrigued me and still does, was when I see creatives wear pieces they had designed. While in senior high school, I started my love for beaded accessories by making bracelets from old beads I’d find.

My journey into Evergreen was one I termed as an unintentional coincidence. For years,
I experimented with beads, the colors, the patterns and composition. Helther rekindled her craft and begun creating beaded pieces for close friends and family and Alas, Evergreen, which only started out as a passion for timeless beaded jewelry for Helther, was born officially on the 8th of September 2022.

From inception, evergreen been more than just a hub for your beaded accessories but rather a place where every man and woman feels confident and connected to their unique beauty and style while delivering excellence and timeless beaded accessories as a bare minimum.

Evergreen is inspired by EVERYTHING. From the existing beaded designs to our everyday nothings. We create timeless art from these beads as we have deeper connections with them and we believe our clients and community will also cherish.

My dream for Evergreen is for this brand to be more than just creating beaded accessories. I pray the Evergreen lives beyond me and becomes a renowned brand known for unique, timeless and high-quality products, achieving sustainable growth and building strong connections with customers through creative designs.
